Branding
Lisbon Insiders

I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project, creating the branding and editorial design for Lisbon Insiders, an independent magazine that captures the essence of Lisbon's vibrant food scene while also showcasing and supporting the local art scene. The concept behind the branding was to reflect the city's charm and unique character through a palette of pastel colors, evoking a sense of warmth and inviting atmosphere.

By embracing chic minimalism, the design perfectly complements the magazine's focus on food, allowing the delicious dishes and culinary experiences to take center stage. Lisbon Insiders truly embodies the spirit of exploration, keeping its readers engaged and curious about the hidden gems that Lisbon has to offer.

“Friday evening rolls round once again. It’s been a long week, with little to no time for respite on the bike. It’s easy to convince yourself that you can have a lie-in tomorrow, and sleep off those well-earned beers you’re about to consume on the Reeperbahn. But then the tequila is ordered, the music gets turned up, and you evolve into the most engaging and affable person ever to exist. Now, my friend, is probably when you should go to the cloakroom and hail a taxi. …”

Editorial Design
BLOCKMAG

The Blockmagazin is the first German-language print magazine exclusively dedicated to exploring blockchain and DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology). I was responsible for the editorial design and some Illustrations of this magazine.

Each issue provides readers with in-depth insights into the technology and its applications across more than 100 pages. It even features an animated cover, which is also available as an NFT (Non-Fungible Token).

The Blockmagazin caters to both experts and beginners, appealing to those who have heard of Bitcoin and blockchain but may not fully understand the concepts and how to apply this new technology.

Lettering Gran Fondo

Gran Fondo Magazine is a comprehensive publication that delves into the captivating world of cycling. It offers a wide range of content, including in-depth bike and gear reviews, valuable training tips, discussions on mental health, philosophical insights, and inspiring stories that go beyond the road. As a contributor to the magazine, I had the privilege of designing a unique script font that adds a touch of character to its visual identity, perfectly complementing the diverse and engaging content it offers.

Branding
RAAW Mountainbikes

I had the pleasure of developing a brand identity for Raaw Mountainbike, aiming to capture the essence of simplicity and purity that defines the experience of mountain biking. In a scene saturated with flashy designs and trends, we sought to stand out by returning to the fundamentals. Cycling, at its core. The brand exudes a clean and uncluttered aesthetic, symbolizing the unadulterated joy and freedom that comes from shredding the trails.

We developed three distinct designs for three different bikes as part of the Raaw Mountainbike Family. These designs were made to highlight and enhance the unique qualities of each bike, showcasing their performance and strength.

Raaw Mountainbike is celebrating the essence of cycling by crafting reliable and performance-driven bikes that bring lasting enjoyment to riders who seek the thrill of sending it through the mountains.

RAAW became within 3 years one of the top 10 most wanted brands in the Mountainbike World.

eMTB = MTB substitute?

“So how did the Beyond Burger taste? Well, a hell of a lot like a real meat patty, but more like one of those burgers that have sat on the delivery shelf for too long than a primo cut of quality meat. Being able to imitate something well doesn’t make something great. I don’t want to cause offence to the fake meat burger – on the contrary, if it can make people happy then that’s brilliant. But please stop seeing something new as a substitute for something old. This stops us from truly scoping out the full potential of eMTBs. Forget the substitutes. Let’s make an original. eMTBing isn’t just a sport – it’s an attitude.”

“As road cyclists, we’re accustomed to fitting in and submitting ourselves. Attired in a team jersey, you become part of a team. Your personal glory no longer matters because you’re part of something bigger. Something that gives you meaning and lets your chest swell up with pride. A great sensation, but one that comes hand in hand with pressure. A uniform that dictates how you’ll abide by rules so that the team runs like a well-oiled machine. Legs on, head off.”
